1. About Pigeon Lab

Pigeon Lab ("Pigeon Lab", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website at pigeonlab.school and provides an AI-powered worksheet generation platform designed for educators (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for use by educators, school administrators, and other education professionals who are at least 18 years of age. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • You are using the Service for legitimate educational purposes and not on behalf of a minor student.

3. Your Account

You must create an account to use most features of the Service. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notifying us immediately at support@pigeonlab.school if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the Service to generate content that is hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful.
  • Use the Service to infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without authorization.
  • Submit personal information about students (e.g., student names, student IDs) into the worksheet generation tool.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence models, including OpenAI, to generate worksheet content. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before distributing it to students.
  • AI-generated content does not constitute professional, legal, medical, or other regulated advice.
  • We do not guarantee that AI-generated content aligns with any specific curriculum standard, provincial requirement, or educational objective.
  • The quality and appropriateness of generated content may vary. Always apply your professional judgment as an educator.

6. Intellectual Property

Your content: Worksheets and content you create using the Service remain your property. You grant Pigeon Lab a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service.

Our content: The Pigeon Lab platform, including its design, software, branding, and documentation, is owned by Pigeon Lab and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our prior written consent.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Pricing and Payment

The Service is currently available free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid subscription tiers in the future. If we introduce paid features, we will notify registered users in advance and obtain your consent before any charges apply.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PIGEON LAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL PIGEON LAB'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO PIGEON LAB IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pigeon Lab and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to us, other users, or third parties. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@pigeonlab.school.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice in the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Quebec.
